Bolts fans…prepare yourselves…the dance team photos will blow you away! I am thrilled to tell you a little bit about our team photo shoot EXTRAVAGANZA!!

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Heather, Laura, and I met to make our way down to the photographer’s studio. The glamour began right away as we were whisked into hair and make-up. Before I knew it, I was in my first outfit and the photographer’s flash was shining brightly. I was suited up with a soccer ball in one hand and a fan blowing wind through my hair. It was while I took my first shots that I discovered something called the “smolder” face. Simply put, this is not a smiling photo. I’m not sure how I did it, since I love to smile! My teammates were cheering me on from behind the camera and I was smoldering to the best of my abilities. I really felt the love from my teammates all day; we really supported each other and became a little closer to being a family.

We all took photos with a soccer ball, in our team uniforms (that you will see us in at the games), and, of course our swimsuits. Fans, I must share with you that every one of my teammates brought there “A-game” to our shoot. We will have quite the calendar for you. I was the first to take my swimsuit photos and I really hope you like them! Our amazing photographer, Michael Castillo, got the best shots possible of every girl. Our fabulous Director and Assistant Director were there for every shot along the way. Even at the end of our twelve-hour day, when we were taking our group photo, these three very important people cared about each girl. I have to give a huge THANK YOU to them! I can hardly wait to see these photos and the calendar!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the international tournament beginning October 28th! Come cheer on the BOLTS with your dance team!!

Hello Bolts Fans!

My name is Stephanie and this past Sunday, the Anaheim Bolts Dance Team had our calendar photo shoot. We started the shoot bright and early Sunday morning with hair and make-up done by several talented hair stylists and make-up artists that made us all very beautiful for the day. We started in the studio in San Clemente where we did our individual shots in our uniforms and then changed into a more fun and playful soccer outfit. I enjoyed every moment of the photo shoot in the studio because all the girls were very encouraging by cheering each other on while shooting our individual shots. It was very fun getting to see each girl put her own style and creativity in each photo and learning from others as well.

After we were done in the studio, we traveled to a beautiful location in Coto De Caza where we took our bathing suit photos. When I first arrived at the location, it was very beautiful and all my nerves kicked into high gear, but I knew this was going to be a day I would never forget! With all of our adrenaline running, we changed into our swimsuits and got ready for some fun in the sun! Our Director (Taylor) and Assistant Director (Lynae) played huge roles in our success that day and were helping us get the best possible shots. We couldn’t have done it without them.

I am very excited to see how the calendar turns out and to see how beautiful each girl looks in her photo! Sunday was a day we will all never forget. It was a great bonding experience and the team is very grateful to be able to share these wonderful moments together!

Keep your eyes out for the unveiling of the 2011-2012 Anaheim Bolts Dance Team Swimsuit Calendar and don’t forget to make your purchase before they are all gone!! Thanks Bolts Fans!!

Hey Bolts fans! Your dance team has been hard at work the past couple of months preparing for our upcoming season. A typical practice for us consists of a warm up (stretching, heating up the body for injury prevention), review of material from the previous week, learning a new routine, and a team meeting to go over business and upcoming events.  We’ve been asked to master a new dance almost every week, each one a different genre or distinct style. We’ve also been fortunate enough to work with guest choreographers for a few dances. It’s such a treat to have them! I can’t wait to perform all of this outstanding material at games. Personally, I’ve really enjoyed our practices because my teammates are an exceptionally fun group. With each week, we grow closer and laugh even more. All of these ladies are committed team members and dedicated dancers and we definitely have a good time together.

In addition to preparing for games, it’s been even MORE of a personal undertaking to prepare for our team and bathing suit calendar photo shoot. The calendar is such an exciting opportunity, but it’s also incredibly daunting. Custom bathing suits have been made in Anaheim Bolts colors and we’ve had two fittings with the designer.  My teammates and I are really taking it upon ourselves to look our best for the photo shoot by being extremely conscious of our diets and workout regimens. As a team, we’ve kept food and exercise journals to assist us in making healthy choices. We also had a group work out with Brandon O’Neal, an amazing personal trainer who owns his own fitness studio in Rancho Cucamonga. He showed no mercy- I could barely walk for the next two days! It has taken serious self-discipline, but with only six days to go I know it will all be worth it when we have fantastic photographs.

Keep your eye out for dance team photos as well as our much anticipated Bolts Dancers swimsuit calendar!

Hi Bolts fans! My name is Mekayla and I am privileged to be a member of the Anaheim Bolts Dance Team in its inaugural year! This past Sunday was the first ever Anaheim Bolts Dance Team audition and I can genuinely say it was a fun day of dancing and meeting new friends. Although the audition process was rigorous consisting of 3 elimination rounds followed by a fourth and final cut the next day, it was a great experience. Whether you made the team or not, I think every dancer who participated in the audition came away with valuable knowledge, audition experience, and the opportunity to learn new fun choreography. Besides being given the privilege to dance in front of thousands of fans, I am looking forward to participating in community events! I know everyone on the dance team is just as excited as I am to get the season started! I hope everyone comes out to the Anaheim Convention Center Arena to support the Anaheim Bolts! See you at the games!

Hi everyone!! My name is Alex and this past Sunday I participated in the Anaheim Bolts Dance Team pre-audition workshop. Not only did I have a blast learning new choreography that was geared toward professional dance teams and meeting new girls, but I learned a lot of valuable information that helped me prepare for the upcoming audition on July 24th. The Director (Taylor) and Assistant Director (Lynae) gave advice on how to make ourselves stand out in front of the judges through dancing, attire, and personality. It was also helpful to get their input on choreographing our own routine for one portion of the audition process. To finish off the workshop, we had a Q and A session and cleared up information regarding the season as well as attire and what to expect at auditions. It was such a good experience and fun day and I can’t wait for the audition!!
